Default effects of over milled heads

ive recently got myself some dart 225cc heads and have had them ported. the work shop that is putting it all together then recomended that they get milled to bring the comp up to 11:1. they were not the same guys that did the porting though. theres problems with the heads and there trying to blame the port job on them. i personally bleve that they have been over milled and the workshop dont want to take resposibility for it. i was told after a while when the engine has heated up it would start to ping on idle and even when backing out the timing it still did and also even with the ignition leads pulled off the car would still run ??? ive never heard of this but then again im no expert either.

what are the effects of heads that have been over milled ?

How much did you take off of them in milling? I had Dart 205s with over 35 thou taken away and had no issues. I was running 58 cc chambers in those heads.
