Default Newbie with another cam question

I have a 5.3 that I am putting in a 70 model c-10 and want to upgrade cam and springs while it is apart. i had hoped to run a 6.0 engine but the i have this 5.3 motor so I will be using it. I have read that an LS6 cam and yellow springs is an inexpensive upgrade. Curious if for a similar amount I should run another setup? I m trying to spend $200-$250 and get all I can for the money.

i dont think you can buy a cam for $200. unless it is used, but then you still need to buy valvetrain upgrades. a cam upgrade kit costs around $600-$800. the ls6 cam and srings would actually be the cheapest route.
