Default Rockers under stock valve covers

Will my comp adjustable rockers fit under the stock valve covers? Do I need to cut the oil deflector tray?

I just installed the comp 1.75 adjustables in mine, & yes, I had to remove the deflector plate, plus, grind out the one lip towards the front ( #1 ) then it all fit well !

It was not nearrly as bad as I first thought. I test fitted them with the adjusters all the way up. Once setting the preload I just had to do a little hammer work and grind a few areas. Thanks fo the replys.

Can you guys give me the procedure you used to adjust the rockers?

We put them on yesterday and had to mod the cover on the driver's side the same way. Nobody said anything about that. It looks like after the baffle is gone and divider milled the fit is good. You agree?

Assuming you are still hydrolic, 850 lifters ? Bring each piston to TDC firing position, both valves closed, then adjust down to just take out the push rod lash, then another 1/4 - 1/2 turn more, and lock them.

Procedure we found and 405 ZO6 suggested as well as others is the Crane procedure two full turns .082" preload

This is stock lifters, .600 beehive springs from Scoggin Dickey and 1.85 Comp Magnum rockers.

Just take a flat chisle and knock all the little tabs off and remove the baffle plate, the remove that lip completely.
