Question Lunati Cam?

Looking at getting a Lunati Cam, I can get it pretty cheap with Comp 321s and im pulling my heads to change a bad lifter anyways.

My questions are how much HP can I expect my mods are LT's, SLP Flowpac, and I will get it tuned. Is it a good DD cam? as this is my DD for temporary. And how much will my mileage drop?

Cam specs.

221/221..558"/.558"duration @ .050 LVA 114

Very nice DD cam but I would run it on a 113 and go a little bigger..... That is just me though.....

I would run nothing smaller than a 224R, perferably would go with a 228R. You aren't going to see much gains with something a lot smaller. In my M6 car going from a stock LS6 cam 207/118?(idr) to my 231/237 (.598/.595) I lost 1 mpg. Went from 30 down to 29 lol so I wouldn't be worried too much about the gas mileage change between the lunati and something like a 228R or something similar.

I had it tuned at Texas Speed and it put down 420rwhp/380rwtq which I believe to be a little low but the feeling of the car says it all, it should be hitting 11's even with our terrible DA here in Kansas.

Mods off the top of my head being 231/237 cam, 243 LS6 heads, FAST 90/90, full bolt-ons, M6, Moser 9''/3.90's, and full suspension.

i just installed this lunati 221 cam on a 112lsa in my 01 z28 a few weeks ago. it's excellent for a dd in my opinion. with exhaust and boltons i put down 344/342 this past weekend though my a4 with a 3400 stall (it was at least 90 degrees in the shop). you'll show quite a bit more being an m6 car. it's not a huge gain for an ls1 cam, but you can definitely tell it pulls harder up top. i got my setup pretty cheap too so i figured i'd go for it since it was better than what i had.
with 100 shot of nitrous it did jump me to 428/435 though so i have some backup for my baby dick cam when i need it

oh yeah, for some reason my car has always seemed to dyno kinda low. it pulled 293hp on motor and 373 on spray on another dyno last year with the stock cam and same mods, but i was able to pull off 1.70 60ft times, low 8.0x's and one 7.97 in the 1/8th mile and 7.4x 1/8 mile on the same shot of nitrous. just by tuning and this cam it made a big jump even though it was on a different dyno.

for a daily driver and you can pick up cheap it should do well however no crying on dyno day from lower than expected #'s. ps you must upgrade your springs. cheers. dont forget to read the cam sticky.
