Default 918 vs prc springs

I want to choose a good spring for my 228r camshaft. I heard that 918 springs are rated to .625 but you need to change them every 20k miles or something? And the prc you don't. Now since i'll be using a 228r which is well acceptable for 918's, would 918 springs be fine to run on the 228r camshaft and not have to change them every 20k miles some some people are saying? I figure if I got the prc springs that I would leave them in there for a while but the 918 I would need to change them later down the road. Is this the case or would it be fine to run 918 springs on a 228r camshaft for a while? No heads or **** just a cam only and exhaust boltons im talking about for these.

waaay too many people breaking single springs for me to ever use the 918 again. I had 8 out of 16 break on my cam. The risky part of that is that when a single spring breaks the valve can easily fall and smack the piston. Dual springs like the Patriot Golds or PRC are less likely to break and if they do usually the other spring will keep the valve from falling. I would tell you to use duals only. For a little extra money you can save your engine if a spring breaks.

Alright I gotcha, what would you recommend more, the patriot golds or the prc's?

I have read they are the same spring. I bought mine as a kit with the retainers and super 7 locks . I got mine from here.
