Default Reworked swap harness

hey ok i am putting a ls1 in my 1997 z28 originally a lt1 car, i was just checking on info about having the engine harness re done to run the ls1.
i have researched and found spear tech and lt1 wiring both offer this service, my questions are 1) when the do this will my factory gauges all work, i have a 97 which have the digital dash like the ls1 cars so i think that would make it easier. 2) does anyone know the price for them to do this? 3) do i need to send the company both the ls1 and lt1 harness? 4) where's the best and most affordable place to have this done?
any help is appreciated thanx!!

i have done this already and buying a complete ls1 harness is the best way to go. 98 is special.....99 and on are the same.

yup, you are correct 98 is on its own...
