Default LQ9 build for a boat

I have an lq9 that I am going to be installing into a 24' offshore style boats. My goal is for the engine to make 500-550+ crank hp and 500-550 tq and I don't want to spin the engine over the 5500 rpm range if possible. I will be using the stock truck style intake for now. More than likely the stock heads will be ported. I would like some ideas as to what kind of cam I could use, and if it would be necessary to go to a 4" crank. I will use ARP rod bolts, but I don't see any reason that I can't use the stock rods and pistons. Any suggestions would be great.
