any advantage for unmolested 5.3l heads?
i know alot of people are running worked over 5.3l heads, but i was wondering if there is any gain with the unmolested 5.3's over unmolested 853/241's? i have a small budget for my heads choice, and trying to decide to port my 853's, go with stock 5.3's, or stock 243's.

LOL! Perfect description, because too many heads are "molested" in the pursuit of power. Shoot, many people even use computers to molest them.
From your choices, 243s with some milling and the correct valve job would be my choice for BBFTB (Best Bang For The Buck), assuming you can score the unmolested (can we say "virgin") 243s for a reasonable price.

but when it comes down to it, VIRGIN 243's will give me a bigger bump in hp and torque than VIRGIN 5.3's? i don't think i'll be able to afford to buy heads then have them worked on.
