Default What size head gasket for AFR 205's?

I know the popular .040 gasket everyone uses, but what about the stock GM MLS gaskets. My goal is to get them to 62cc. I am using 1.8 crane gold roller rockers and 7.350 pushrods if that helps. My question is what is the thinest gastket I can go to without being worried about detonation. I would like to get 11.1 compression ratio. Is this reasonable?

what is the .006 lifts on your cam, what advance (115+?), or what lobes are they? Give me the full specs.
61cc with stock gasket will get you where you want.
I used XE-R lobes on a 115+4 and you would be at 8.7 DCR which is good with 92+octane

Run the numbers but I would think the 0.040" gasket would reduce the squish area and help control detonation better than the stock GM. If the Crane cam is like a lot of their cams, the ramps are slow and the numbers at 0.004 (Crane uses 0.004) are usually pretty big as compared to the 0.050" numbers, i.e., the intake closing point will be farther up the cylinder.

Total lift is .589 with the 1.8 roller rockers.

Vettenuts is correct about the .040 gasket (only if they do not leak).
Anyways, 61cc will get you there. No issues with DCR.

Yea but overtime, the piston rod stretches. (Yes it does) If I were to put the .040 gasket on what about detonation when milled to 62cc. Where as a .053 gasket will give it that extra height. Correct me if I am wrong. I understand thinner gaskets are better, but I am risking this problem. What about a .045 gasket thanks.

The reduced squish afforded by the thinner gasket will actually help more with detonation than the 0.013" gain in height and somewhat lower static CR.
