Default Those of you with Yella Terras come on in..

I ordered a set of Yella Terras and was just kind of curious how thick of a shim you had to use. I bought a dial indicator, checker springs and a push rod length checker. So, I'm going to check but just curious. I'm installing them on GM casting 5.3's in signature.

I ended up with 0.125" for a shim and bought them from McMaster-Carr. This of course lead to interference issues with the valve cover baffles which I removed. I wasn't too concerned with removing the baffles because I also upgraded to the 04 valley cover that has a built in PCV orifice and there is no draw on the valve covers with this setup.

I wonder if you had to use such a large shim due to AFR heads. Seems like everyone that has responded used the shim that came with them or none.
