Default Milling my 243

I searched in the sticky on the CR thread under cam/heads/ect, (Head cc volume = what compression ratio?) and got even more confused. It didn't seem as though there was a real concise answer to my question.

I am considering shipping my 243's out to TEA to have their Stage 1.5 P/P done to them. As I understand it my static compression if I were to just install my heads the way they are now would be right around 10.46:1.

How much can I have milled without running into compression rates too high that I can't run pump gas, 93 octane or running into detonation issues.

The car isn't a daily driver, it will see some track time this year.

Thanks for any advice.

Im not sure how much material is taken off, but if you get them down to 60cc's and use a .040 gasket, it should be around 11.3:1 which is still fine for 93. Thats how the motor is my car is done...the heads were done by Golen engine service.

Since your doing a cam as well, you would be able to run a 112 LSA camshaft and be fine...brings the powerband in sooner and makes it much better to street drive.
