Default Big Cam or STS Turbo for a Weekend 02 SS

Whats up guys.
Well after weeks of searching on what performance road i would like to take i thought i would throw up a thread to get your opinions. Quick feedback on my car. My 02 SS just hit 4,000 original miles. It has slp LM1/SLP lid. The car will only see about 1,500 miles on it a year. It will be taken out to run with my friends cars(mustangs, supra, dumdumdumdum) on the street and to the track. My RWHP goal is 450-500 rwhp. I would like the TQ up there as well. I know alot of you are against the STS rear mount ,but for a slightly used kit near $2,100-$3,000 its very tempting.(not including gauges,clutch,etc..) but i have searched for some cam setups and have come across a few like TSP MS4,T-Rex,The Polluter. LPP headers/ORY will be ordered in a few weeks if i plan to go the NA route. I do not plan to add heads anytime soon so I dont no how anyone of those cams would be greatly affected and I know a H/C setup would be best ,but for right now its not in the picture. My hp goal isnt as high as others would think only due to my brother and I building a 95 camaro and dropping a 383 in it to run on the track. Im not going to throw a poll up only because Im sure people will chime in with others and if possible PLEASE list the specs on the cams you guys mention or may be running.
Appreciate
Dan

heads and cam with nitrous dumdumdum. who wants boost when you can have push button power? plus you'll like the road manners of a heads/cam car over a spooled car. an LS1 with a cam and exhaust will make close to 400-450 hp and if that's not enough hit the spray and 550 hp easy right there for ya.

I should have mentioned i wasnt looking for nitrous. My previous car was a TT Supra so i have always loved the feel of turbod cars. If i could get near 450rwhp with cam and supporting mods(TB,Intake,U/D pulley, headers,ORY) around it not including heads. I might look to go that route.

If your not going to do heads to help get the compression back up so its more street friendly, I'd do the STS personally.

why do you not want to do heads? a h/c set up would net you around 450 for the same price as your looking to spend on the sts setup.

I'd go with neither and do it right the first time by doing a front mount

big cam definitely...it will be much faster than bolting on a STS kit and will always be there instead of waiting to get out of vacuum for 200 ft when you dead hook on the street. LMFAO

MS3, MS4, T-Rex or etc. I got MS3 and Im going to spray it and you leave you at the line with that STS set-up and still spend less. Definitely go with cam and heads. Even with out spray you will put down great numbers. Just get a cam and heads that work together good. No hard feelings on leaving you at the line

Texas-speed and Thunder racing have H/C packages with springs, pushrods, and etc.

i'm doing a set of stock cast 243 (LS6) heads that have been CNC'd and an MS3 from Texas-Speed. supporting mods are FAST 95/95, 1 7/8" LTs, ORY, and SLP catback. i will be suprised if i make less than 450. dont even think about that STS garbage. i've heard so many horror stories about them. it's a very inefficient setup and not worth the money. i dont mean to sound like a negative kinda guy but i really hate the STS kits.

I know the ms3 cam is good cam but i think the tsp tsunami would be a better cam topped off with a set of prc ls6 heads on and be done with it.

Do a search on the tsunami cam and you will see what i am talking about.
