Anyone install a '02-'04 LS6 cam? Any valvetrain issues w/ the shorter valves?
The '02-'04 LS6 head has .6mm longer valves to account for the smaller base circle of the cam.
Anyone install the cam in a F-body or 2001 Z06? I'm putting my car back to stock and was planning on updating it to 2002-2004 405hp specs for resale.
I allready have the '02-'04 airbox lid and the OEM h-pipe w/ only 2 cats (2001s had 4 cats).
I guess I could re-use my 7.4" pushrods from my G5-X2 cam kit to give me a little extra pre-load to make up for the difference?
Any ideas, or is it a non-issue?
Thanks,
Brian

hello, i bought TSP (texas speed) ls6 heads & ls6 2002 cam (wimpy / low dyno #s) and it runs great using the stock pushrods & rockers. about 7k miles since install. i specifically asked and tsp said i didnt need to upgrade pushrods with my set up. the cam runs perfect, idles at 600 rpm. no lope and low dyno #s are the downside.
