Default convert 853 heads to MLS gaskets?

I am building a cam spray car at the moment. i have to fly cut my pistons, so the heads are coming off. I want to replace them with mls, bc i know composite gaskets hate high cylinder pressure. I was just wondering what has to be done to my heads in order to run MLS gaskets thanks. I am also decking my heads to help with the big cam.

weld the recess where the head seals to the block.

You can use Cometic MLS gaskets with the notched heads, no problem.

ok good to know. My buddy can weld them and they have to be decked anyway. Which way is best to go? buy the cometics or weld them, since there being decked either way.

i like the mls gaskets, they are cheap and can handle some good amount of boost/spray.

weld the recess on the head, thats it. the mls has no provision to seal where the recess is on the 853s. if you weld that spot and make sure the surface is even with the rest of the head it will seal.
