Default to rocker or not to rocker.... that is the question

Hey guys. Gathering info on a heads cam swap. I have a bare cnc ported set of 241's im throwing on the car. Looking to get a 244ish +/-.600lift cam. 7.4 hardened pushrods. PRC .660 springs etc

Currently the engine has 80k on it. Should i replace the rockers? These look good for 80k on them. Should i get some GM ones or go for harland sharp. Probably gonna spin her to 6800.

Maybe this has been asked before, didnt see it in the search. Thanks

Excactly, just send the stockers to Harland and have them modify them. The stockers are about as good as you can get.

And is there any reason your going to run a "244ish" cam? Is this a race engine or big cube stroker? Also I would recommend measuring the pushrods before just throwing a set of 7.4's in it.

Im with them I say rebuild your stock ones. I am switching to Harland Sharps cuz I found a pretty much brand new set of 1.7 adjustables for $200. I would check your pushrod length though, Harland told me mine should be around a 7.2 with the adjustables.

Wily,
These heads made 46xhp with a 244ish cam. So I'm going with what works. Maybe ill get more with a smaller cam, maybe I won't. That combo is proven. So ima stick with that.

Ill look into sending the stockers out. Thanks a lot guys
