oil pump question? I am looking to get a oil pump for my T/A and was noticing that some seem to have the oil pickup on the drivers side and others have it on the passenger side of pump. What is the difference? Will either one work? Both say they are for a LS1. Thanks for any info.

The only pumps that will not physically work on a stock LS1 engine are the dry sump designs (LS7-LS9). All other's are similar as far as bolting up and aligning to the pickup tube. I use a ton of ported "LS1/LS6" pumps with really good results on almost any engine.
