4.125 is the standard bore typically used to get 4.155, 4.125" + .030 over = 4.155.

RHS has a new block that 4.160" and will take a 4.600" stroke that I saw at PRI. 500ci!!

Have whatever block you use sonic tested.

Honestly boring to the max is a complete waist of a good block. YOu should run the least amount of bore that you can. That way if you engine dies, you can still bore it and rebuild.

THe difference between standard bore and max bore is probably less than 5-10hp

4.060 is a max bore. But it has to be tested. Just spend the extra cash on a stroker crank and get a 408.

^^^ yup, LSX. 408 is the biggest you want to safely go with it if you plan on making power.

It has been done before but with the water jackets filled all the way to the top of the deck (no coolant) and on a race only engine. Mine is 4.07" and is half filled (up to the water pump ports). IF your block can take a 4.06" or 4.07" bore that is as far as I'd go IF you are willing to half fill it.

Not going to happen unless you sleve it.

.030 over safely, .060 over and have it checked.
