Default Cam swap on high mileage motor?

If you do a cam swap on a motor with 50 or even 100k miles, is it okay to not tear down the motor and replace the cam bearings?

Thanks

Heck yeah..I wouldn't think twice about... these LS1's age gracefully and can really take a flogging. I just did my second cam swap at 61,000 miles.

95000 miles and I just did a head swap. Swapped my cam at 80000.

Stock oil pump, and timing chain.

Runs like a raped ape.

werd...110,000 miles did 1st H/C swap at 90K...did my 2nd cam swap at 100,000....runs like a raped ape w/it's *** on fire. stock chain, oil pump. I keep 6qts of royal purple 10/30 in it and just don't turn it over 6500 and she'll last forever....revs and low oil are what kills these motors....anything over 6800rpms and ur risking motor's life.

No problems. Just keep good oil, and clean oil, you should be fine. Dont forget good springs.

Definatly get good springs...I'm glad I splurged for the Rev Duals that needed the machine work...it's just insurance that if something were to happen I wouldn't have to replace the motor...plus...they are abnormally quiet...even more quiet than my stockers.
