Post 2500 stall range Cam Suggestions- 98 Formula

My buddies 98 Formula's valvetrain just took a crap on him and were looking around to see what kind of cams the guys are running on here with the smaller 2500 stall converters, and hes wanting to go low 12's with a cam. Any suggestions are open to your combos and results thanks.

Thats not much of a stall for these cars...I wouldnt put in more than a 224 camshaft...MAYBE a 228 at the most.

I am running a 232/238 and my stall is 3200 and that is still a bit small for the cam so I would agree no more than a 228.

you can go low 12's on stock cam if you have full boltons and suspension. I would go with a 224 cam.

A stall allows it to idle easier, stop easier, and get up and go.

its a custom spec'd cam. you would have to call comp cams and give them the specs so they could grind it for you. Throw atleast a 3000 stall in it, you will hardly even notice the 2500 stall.
