Default LS1 torquer cam v.2/v.3

has anyone used the texas speed torquer v.2 or v.3 cams? i trying to decide on a cam for the LS1 thats going in my tahoe. something with nice torque and a nice powerband. not anything too aggressive as i am using the yellow z06 springs.

i dont think those yellow springs will be sufficient to those 2 cams honestly..the lift rate on those springs are too low for thoses 2 cams.

springs will not work with those cams and for something that weighs that much i would look into a 228r or smaller to get it moving faster

Thats useful advice re: the springs. Tsp or one of the sponsors could get you in the ballpark if you needed to work around keeping the springs you have.

I had a torquer 2 and liked it alot- large powerband and easy to tune. $.02 good luck

i have the V1 of the torquer and am pretty happy with it considering i have stock heads.

i realize the lobes are slightly more aggressive on the V2, but i'm sure they would make comparable curves.

here is my dyno with the ls6 intake, compared to the ported FAST. hp peaked at a very managable 6300rpm, torque was nice across the board.

PS
the "before" run we didn't quite run it up to peak...but close.

There are a lot of great results with those two cams. V.3 has some high lift though. You'll need springs for either.

Oh, ****! Good catch! This is going in a Tahoe (see sig).

I'd go with something more like a 218 or 220... You might make it out okay with those springs too.
