cartek stage 2 head and cam car needs new cam
I need some opions on a new cam. My car has stage 2 cartek heads they have been milled .030" the cam that is in the car is a 222/226 .580 .580 with 113 lsa. The car has put down 414hp and 400 tq through a a4 and has ran as quick as a 10.94 at a 121mph but i have made some changes and want a larger cam more suitable for the track but still be able for street use. The lists of new mods to the car are as follows i put new qtp headers on with the tsp true dual exhaust,a th400 rvmvb tranny with a 3800rpm converter, a ford 9inch with 3.89 gears and the fast 92/92 combo ported by vengence racing and 85mm zo6 maf. The car weighs 3260 with me in it and runs very strong . Thanks for the help.

not knowing what valves are in the heads....its hard to suggest how big of a cam to go with.
but i would think the El Torro would be a nice step up. it has proven to be a VERY strong cam in the a4 cars
other options might be something like the F13 or Torquer 2 for an off the shelf grind.
other option is to spray it

I would contact CARTEK 908-317-4496
If they are their heads, they would know what cam works best with their runner profiles and so on. They have a number of different cam specs that they can sugest to you based on what you want to do.
