Default Rebulding questions, Cam and Head questions.

I recently purchased my 2001 ss off this board and got the car home and had my mechanic check it out and do a compression check, and cyl 5 has 50# or so and burns a little oil, im a little pissed about this but, whats done is done.. now for my rebuild questions...
I got a shortblock off another member that has a spun rod bearing. and i was wondering:
-What are the best bearings for these motors
-What are the best piston rings
-and is it safe to hone the LS block?
- should i uprgrade to arp rodbolts?
-what lifters should I run? Stock? Ls7?
Cam and Head Questions:
during this rebuild, i am going to put a heads/cam on, and was thinking PRC LS6 heads, and a torquer 2. The car will be driven almost every day and i recently purchased a moser m9 with 4.11's..
-What size combustion chamber is the best? i dont plan on and sort of FI
-Would the 7.4 Pushrods be the ones to buy?
-what headgaskets should i use? OEM?
i appologize for all of the ?'s, but i dont want to have to do things twice and would rather do it once and be done.. i appreciate any help

Not sure on the rebuild questions, but will give advice on the heads/cam stuff.

Get the heads milled to about 62cc's and use a .045 gasket to get the compression to 11:1...such as Cometic gaskets.

Talk to the camshaft manufacturer as far as push rod length goes, or buy a length checker and find out for yourself and buy accordingly.

Federal-Mogul makes most of the bearings for the ls1, but i went ahead and bought ACL bearings
Total Seal
Yes
Yes
LS7 lifters are good enough
push-rod length= any reduction in surface distance (ie. milling of head and/or thinner head gaskets) will result in an equal reduction in the stock push-rod length.
You'll get tired of that 9'' and those gears with daily driving, you should just sell it to me! lol
