Default dipstick pushing out @ high RPM?

I've heard so many stories on what this could potentially be, so I'm coming here to get some more opinions on the subject.

I've got a car that's shooting its dipstick out about 3-4" when its revved past ~6200RPM, usually also spits a bit of oil out (just a mist really) @ the same time.

Is the answer to put a breather on the oil fill, or should I be looking for something more serious?

Thanks for any input!

The cam has a big cam in it also... possible that it might need a vac. pump?

you can try a breather, but its usually a piston problem

Ok, will try a breather. Otherwise I guess a compression check is in order?

I would do a compression check 1st, you might have a broken ring land.

Check your compression and a leakdown test first, are you running a catch can. Everyone has their own opinion on breathers and the pvc system, personally I wouldnt run a breather, always makes the engine a mess and the pcv system with a catch can should work fine.
