I'm in need of suggestions to make some decent power with a 5.3. I have a new set of 243 heads with .020 milled off. Would like to know if anyone has done this and what kind of results to expect. Any suggestions? i.e. cam, head gasket thickness, push rods, valve springs, etc.

Newer 5.3L's come with 243s standard. I think they are rated to 330hp?

All the other stuff your asking for requires more information.
