Default tr224 question

anyone have a dyno chart comparing the TR224 and the TR230. just wondering where the power differences were and if its worth a cam swap form the TR224 to the TR230. also i know the TR224 passed emissions in Cali, do u guys think the TR230 would pass emissions?

Jason had an overlay of this swap. All gains were way up top, but there was no sacrifice down low. The graphs were vertually identical below 5700 RPM

niphilli hit the nail on the head. This thread should be helpful and includes the graph mentioned above: https://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iii-internal-engine/110943-tr227-224-tr224-tr230-224-a.html

I don't think the TR230 would pass emissions in Kalifornia but a few here have got the TR224 to pass. As Josh and niphilli pointed out above there is no difference in power between the two cams until around 5700 rpms and no noticeable difference in power under the curve. However the TR230 pulls very hard up top to 6800 rpms where the TR224 seems die around 6200 rpms. My TR224 112LSA peaks at 6150 rpms. Unless your looking for that last bit of power I don't think it's worth the cost and time of swapping as the PP ST II heads will compliment your TR224 very nicely!
