Exclamation Valve Diameter Questions

I have some questions regarding valve diameters...

What does it mean

5.3 heads are Intake is 1.89" and Exhaust is 1.55"

LS1 heads are Intake is 2.00" and Exhaust is 1.55"
LS1: intake = 101 grams, exhaust = 94 grams.

LS6 heads are Intake is 2.00" and Exhaust is 1.55". But the
LS6: intake = 73 grams, exhaust = 65 grams

I am looking for a good head to go with my 228/232 .588/.595 110+4 cam. And in the near future a FAST 90/90 combo..

Thanks guys

The 5.3 head uses a smaller valve size.
the ls1 uses a standard valve
the ls6 uses a sodium filled exhaust valve and a hollow intake valve to lower valve train weight.
You can "punch out" a 5.3 head to use the ls6y style valves.

jonas get get caught up into the valves too much...light weight valves are nice but not going to give you huge gains, especially only spinning it to 6600 (i think that is what you said you shift at)...

also 5.3 heads with a stg 2 port job use stock 2.00 valve...now if you go to a stage 2.5 you get the 2.02 valve...

no idea on HP with the old 806 heads ran 12.2, so we will see soon. I want to put it on a dyno to see my power curve...Im not a big HP dyno guy i like my numbers at the track, but you can see some neat things on the dyno like valve float and stuff.
