Default Looking for a good single roller timing set!

What's up guys, I'm doing a cam and figured while I'm in there I would do all new timing components for the cam. I have been looking around on the net for a while but all I come up with is SLP double rollers. I was trying to find a cloyes single timing chain set for the ls1-ls6 but I haven't been very successful. Can you guys please throw me some links to get to this stuff?

ThankS!

You folks with the Rollmaster double rollers that you are paying 80 bucks for better look at that chain real good after you get it in the mail.

My bet is your timing set will have a Rolon chain made in India, and [NOT] a German made Jwis double roller.

Mike,

Call up SPDC and specifically ask them which chain is now on their 2x timing set. It may have changed in the last year. Tell them you want the one with Jwis on the chain and see what they say. They might not even know the chain has changed.

While I got my double Rollmaster for SDPC about a year ago and paided $85, I did check the chains and they did have Jwis on the chains. Sounds like SDPC may have started selling the blue labels with Rolons instead of the red labels with Jwis.

I think Ron makes an excellent point - check this stuff BEFORE it goes on the car because you never know what will actually show up in the mail.

Yes, the spacers were installed. The gear was not right, and it was not made in the USA.

Tin Indian is correct! I just opened a set that I purchased from SDPC about a month ago. It is a Rolon chain. Thanks for the heads up Tin Indian.

Pace also sells a heavy duty single roller timing chain. Probably the same one SDPC sells. Sprockets are sold separately. I have read that this is the chain used in the C5R engines.

Talked with SDPC they said they ordered red label Jwis 2x Rollmasters but got the Rolon shipped to them. They said they found this out when someone called them up recently complaining about the Rolon chain. They plan to get the issue resolved. The rep stated they paid the vendor for red labels and it's not clear at this point why they were shipped the wrong product.

I sent one of the SPDC guys an email maybe they can clarify in detail.
