Default need more help after cam install

somethings not right with my radiator. i reinstalled it and poured one jug of dexcool in and it was almost overflowing the fill tube. let it run for awhile and took it around the block and it overheated imeediatly. what did i do wrong? it should take more fluid and its not. the hoses dont feel to have any pressure or be hot at all while running at overheating temps. any help appreciated

Refill according to Manual. I know it sounds weird but these motors have to be filled according to Manual to avoid problems.

Bad O ring at the end of the valve. Might want to check it before you try and refill. it might have fell off if its tight and still leaking.

Probably has air in the system. I loosen the top coolant crossover tube on the drivers head. That's usually enough to get the air out.

its prolly not overheating but when the air is trapped it gives false readings. you have to keep topping it off until the level won't lower anymore indicating thats its completely full. It usually takes me several times of topping it off to get it to act right.
