Default What would cause these spots and oil on a set of heads?

In the pic below you'll notice the circled areas in the high right portion of the intake ports and then an oil film at the base of the ports. What would cause those spots to not be coated with carbon on the intake ports circled in the pictures?

Thanks.

That wouldn't explain the bare spots on the intake ports though.

Fuel spray keeps that spot cleaner.

Its the good ol PCV sucking oil and the light spots are from the fuel injector spray. I have the same deal HERE

You can see the same clean spots and this was after 1200 miles on a new motor

i had my intake off tonight (roughly 500 miles since heads went on)

five of the intake runners were noticably darker than three, however they didnt feel to have "wet" oil on them, just a film. i didnt have a couple drips out the bottom of the runner though as in the pics above. no clean spots though. is there anyway to prevent the oil film

Before doing anyhting else, get a vaccuum and vaccuum up all the dirt you have by that open port in the picture. That stuff isn't good for a motor if ingested.

Already done . I'm gonna be installing the LS6 valley cover anyway so all of that will have to be cleaned.

Hey, you are showing my top-secret duct-tape mod! hehe. Looks like the Cannibal still sucks alot of PCV crap, did you ever get a real catch-can installed? LS1 PCV systems are crap huh?

Mine still sucked oil in even with LS6 valley cover and a catch can. I started a thread a few weeks ago for advice on running without PCV system. After the severe oil coating with only 2000 miles I just cant bring myself to hook that sorry assed PCV system back up.

I tried running the Cannibal without PCV and just using several breathers, but it blew out the valvecover gaskets at the track and coated the underside of the car with oil. NOT good.

OUCH!! There has got to be a way to fix this bullshit problem with these motors. LS6 valley and catch can lessen the oil but we still shouldnt be having to deal with the MAJOR amount of oil coating that is happening in out intake tract.

These cars must use the PCV. You cannot just block it off. If you don't you'll experience exactly what Tony described above.
