Default Lock nuts with nylon for windage tray?

I don't have any of the factory nuts to hold the windage tray in place and would like to finish putting the motor back together. The hardware store does not have any m8x1.25 serrated nuts like the stockers, so I bought lock nuts with the nylon in the center. Anybody see a problem with this? tia-Garrett

Well i guess it would work. Im not sure how strong those studs are but give it a shot! Just be careful and make sure that the nylon from those nuts doesnt come off.

I'd use a regular nut with red lock-tight and a lockwasher before I'd use a nylon locking nut.

Most of the heat ratings I've been able to find online are at 250*f. Looks like I'll be heading back to the hardware store tomorrow.
