Cam install
OK..
I have read that you can do a cam swap on an ls1 fairly easily, without removing the engine.
I have changed the cam once already but i had no part in it. I paid to have it done... BUT i am about to set a pair of heads on my car and would like to go with a different cam. I am going to do the work my self this time, but I don't want to have to pull the motor... Is there a write up or a how to... or even a list of things I need to remove to get to where I can remove the cam? I used the "search" but came up empty.
I have had people tell me to remove the entire front clip... but I don't want to have to do that either!

X2, This is a very informative site. I use it all the time, Especially for the Torque Specs. Make sure you have plenty of time to do this, You will run into issues... We all do, No matter how many times you do it. If you get stuck, Make sure you post up, so members can help you. Good luck

if you are changing the heads, when you remove the intake, careful with the oil pressure sending unit. . . . read about that 15 times before yanking and make sure you can get a spare/replacement one easily
