Default AN fittings and steel braid for power steering lines?

I dont know the PSI of the LS pumps or the rating of the aluminum fittings or the steel braided hose, but is this do-able?
Anybody know the actual PSI for a 5.3 truck pump?

Most of companies that make AN fittings have a line of steel fittings just for PS and brakes. You'll also need teflon-lined braided steel hose for those (high pressure) applications. The PS pumps put up ~1500 PSI.

I have used EARL'S "performa-flex" line and swivel seal an fittings for many p/s applications and have had NO issues.

then all you've done is luck out so far. you are NOT to use aluminum fittings on high pressure side ps lines. the burst ratings don't even compare between the steel and aluminum...and steel isn't that much more $ to warrant skipping out on it.

couldnt agree more. especially at the speeds these cars see. the last thing you want is line popping and spraying power steering fluid in front of your tires.

don't risk your safety. use steel.
