Any one using TSP 228R cam only?
Did a search and found very little info on this cam. I am interested in doing a cam only install for now and stage II heads down the road. My mods are the usual bolt ons, TPIS headers, no cats, borla stingers, yank 3000 convertor and FLP level IV trans, K&N FIPK ( this is a 98 c5, fwiw). I was almost dead set on the TR224 with the 114 lsa but am concerned with out growing it. My car is not a daily driver and want it to sound like it has a cam. Sorry for adding yet another cam post but their seems to be an over abundance of a selection!

The TSP will make a lot more power. That cam uses the XE-R lobes which are more aggressive than the TR (comp XE lobe). The XE-R lobes have more lift and more aggressive ramps which will give you more duration at .200 and .300. Also, it a reverse split which makes great power in our cars if you have an open exhaust. LT,ORY a must. If you run cats go with a straight up cam. Maybe a 228/228 using XE-R lobes. Just a thought.

I have it, its on a 111LSA and I love it.
Great streetability with Jason's tune. #s in sig without LS6 intake, TB, or pulley.
It really really likes nitrous too.
This cam came out of Trevors SS and he ran an 11.40 with cam only at last years Thunder Shootout. I really like it.
I havent taken it to the track yet, but on the motor I stayed on the *** end of a 12.5 sec 415hp vette and this time was at a DA of 4000ft.
Its a great cam.
