Default 1.8 rockers with a 224 .563 114 cam

I have crane 1.8 gold rockers on my current cam (see sig). The car runs great but the cam runs out of steam at 6000 rpm and I just installed a 3800 stall converter.

Has anyone run 1.8 rockers on a 224 .563 lift cam?

If yes, any potential problems I should watch out for?

I don't have any experience with 1.8 rockers, but i read that 1.8 rockers are "not recommended for fast ramp cams", so who knows.
who else knows?

stick with the tr224 on the stock rockers, you'll gain alot more mid range and top end over your current cam. thunder doesnt recommend 1.8 rockers and if you do your research you'll find out you dont even need them

btw, your lift will be .596 if you go with the 1.8's

Yea I know my lift will be .596. I just dont want to waste money on the rockers, which I already spent.

Any other suggestions!

I wouldn't try it on a fast ramp cam like the TR224. Comp has some cams with slower ramps, give them a call. I think they call them "high rpm" cams, as opposed to the XE and XER cams which have the fast ramps. They will also sell you a custom grind to your own specs for no additional charge. You could just have them grind you a 224/224. You would probably have to do this since most Comp cams have large traditional split.
