Default TSP231 with shorties and a ls1 intake??

Ok guys I need your opinions.

I have a LS1 powered RX7 with the mods listed in my sig. I'm thinking about swapping the TR224 for a TSP231 to make more power on the motor and hopefully pick up even more on the bottle (looks like a good spray cam).

I'm concerned that the more radical tsp may hurt me since I'm not able to run anything other than the shorties due to clearance issues. I also have a 99 engine and have not upgraded to a LS6 intake manifold.

Are the intake manifold and headers something I should be concerned about with this cam? It seems everyone is making good numbers with it.

Not that it's going to change my choice, but how does the cam sound? I would imagine it's a good bit choppier than that TR224.

I would spend the time and money on the ls6 or new lsx intake from Fast systems before swapping cams. I would think there is as much power from the intake as the cam swap with no more tuning needs .
