Default head gasket help for lq4

What is the best head gasket to use on a stock deck (9.025) lq4 and get that compression up and get a good quench of .040.

Is there a gasket out there, say around 4 inch bore and a .015 thickness?

Seems like most of the LS gaskets are at least .041 thick. Not good for a stock height deck.

You are asking the question wrong and you are not giving all of the data needed, that may be the problem.

How high above the deck is the piston? Crucial spec, check it on a couple of pistons on both banks.

Hey thanks. I just trying to find out if the pistons stick out of the deck or are down in it. Is there a rule of thumb?

Is there a head gasket everyone perfers?
