400rwhp...who's making it and how (LS1)
Let me know what it takes to make 400 rwhp on an 02 LS1. I'd like to do it so I figure the best answers would be from the 400hp alumni class.

Havent been on a dyno but I'm guessin right around that mark.
TEA stage 1.5s, TR224/561, MACs with custom ORY, LS6 intake, Yella Terras, and a ST3800 stall.
I went 11.41@119 in a 3550 lb car on radials on a 1.58 60'. +200 DA.

Your 1 of 2 who have h/c headers that didn't make over 400rwhp though the stick. You just need to find your problem and you will pass 400rwhp easy. If you think it's the heads send them back we will send you a brand new set free of charge. However your poblem lies elsewhere IMHO.

Here's my car:
02 SS T56, Hardtop coupe, Bilstein Ultra Suspension, Hurst shifter, CAGS eleminator with SLP LTs and 345hp airlid running an Airaid filter with a chromed CME out the back.
So that breaks down to an LS1 with LS6 intake and injectors and decent intake and exhaust setup.
I know you can get better peak HP out of other headers, but the SLPs are on there and they're staying.
I'm looking at about $2,500 or so for a budget, I don't think I can afford a head package, but alot of you are running at or near the 400 mark on stock heads and I'm told it's quite doable.
I am also planning a gear swap to better utilise the power. Still deciding on 3.73s vs, 4.10s. I'm not a quarter miler so I don't need the best setup for the 1320. I want a good all around performance car that will be fun on an occiassional SCCA Solo II event, driving the open highways of Nevada and the Sierra mountians...and also not to be f'd with at the stop light
I'm currently running an SLP STB and will add SFCs and perhaps other suspension mods, but let's concentrate under the hood for now.
