Hey guys im buying a 02 SS camaro on friday with 6 speed. i am curious on how much lift the stock springs can handle because im going to swap it out. this motor and trans is going in my third gen because the SS is wrecked and not repairable but motor and trans is good. any cam suggestions im open to all that i can get. and i do want that lopey sound. thanks

Its the same as the ls1 Corvette springs good till about 550. if your going to swap if you want a lope sound 110 or 109 LSA but you'll give up some top end for that sound. Me you I'd get some port work done on them 241's and get some good srpings like patriot extreme gold 650 lift. Thumb of rule .050 more than your peak lift. So if your lift is 649 you don't want a 660 rated spring. If you put a stout cam and keep those heads stock you'll choke the cam. If your going to get a cam also change the lifters for LS7 lifters because the lifters are good to about 6300 rpm and a good cam will make peak power around 6500 to 6800.
