Default Would a serious vacuum leak cause oil consumption?

I had a leak in the direct port system in my intake where the lines weren't connected. Would that cause bad oil consumption?

I don't see how a vacuum leak would cause high oil consumption. The biggest thing that causes high oil consumpiton is owning an LS1! Don't get me wrong, I love my engine, that's just one of it's quirks.

I don't think so.

But a big vacuum leak will screw up your Ltrims and the car will idle high.

ok thanks. I didn't no if it might actually suck the oil past the rings.
