Default Lost & Confused w/New Setup..

Hey guys need a little advice... actually a lot..

Ok so here goes... I just upgraded my ls1 to the following parts(Note the bottom end is stock still):

224/228 114+2 CAM
FAST 92 mm intake
90 mm TB
LG long-tube headers and off-road x-pipe
New oil pump
LS6 valley covers etc...

OK, so I know since I do not have it tuned yet it is going to be rough but I wanted to run these numbers by the expertise to see your opinions and concerns...

After running the car for 20-30 min... I got a rough idle... Sometimes it feels like it is loading up.. and also my gauges are reading this:

Oil temp - 210
Coolant temp - 220
Oil Pressure @ idle 15psi to 20... Cruisin @ 2000 rpm 40-50 psi and sometimes mid to high thirty at a cruise....

So fellow car patrons, please share your thought/comments/questions.. Should I be tearing back down????? Or does this thing just need a tune and I will be good???

Thanks for the help guys

Al

Hard to say but you certainly need to start with a tune.

Temp, pressure etc. are OK...but you'll want to lower the fan temps when you get it tuned. (and a 180 or 160 stat).

Get it tuned soon as you are no doubt very rich and that's not good for any engine.

The car needs a tune for sure, DON'T beat on the car untill you get a dyno tune. Was the oil pump ported or a stocker?

First off you need to get your car tuned before posting any issues because how can we help if your car realistically is running un-tuned and its not running like its supposed to, do you see the thought pattern here. Everything you are experiencing is from an un-tuned car.

Yeah I understand and I knew that before making this post... the point of the matter is that I am new to the game... Wanna make sure that I can get most of the bugs out before getting tuned.. So with that said, the car gets tuned Monday. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something critical before going to 2.5 hrs away to get tuned...
