Sound clips of my motor
Jason @ Thunder uploaded these videos for me.
I love the way this thing sounds with the bullet mufflers.
The cam is a solid roller 250/244 109 +6 .646/.646 in a 346. Grot headers and bullet mufflers.

Unfortunately I didn't get any timeslips at the Shootout this weekend. We found out on the first burnout Friday night that my posi was shot (1 wheel peel). Rather than take a chance at blowing the posi to bits with a good hook, I parked the car and hung out and watched. Drove the car to work today, what a blast. I did put my full exhaust back on last night tho. Bullets would have gotten me arrested I think...

Sounds wickeds What exhaust you run on the street? Get some more videos of some revs and a pass by or two. Hows that cam run on the street? Certainly not a daily driver cam but can you drive it on the street for the most part?

Sounds good Andrew. Too bad you didn't get to run it at the shootout. I'm curious to see what she's gonna run. I was thinking of going with a solid set-up but ran out of money. I was actually putting the rear crankshaft cover on tonight before I stopped. I need to pm you to get your number in case I'm in Waco. I know I will be near there in May.
Be good,

It sounds even better in person. I'm glad the car is doing well for you. Bring it back down to NPR with the new tranny and spool. I promise we will get some times out of it then.

Thanks guys.
On the street, I run a 3" Y-pipe with 3 1/2" flowmaster collector (that goes to a 3 1/2" cutout, which is currently capped), through a reducer to 3", and then through an SLP 2OTL muffler. I like the way the SLP muffler sounds. Nice bassy rumble. It doesn't sound nearly as mean, though. But it still sounds good. Still lopes pretty good. With the bullets, I couldn't hear my rear gears whine... But with the SLP, I can hear them pretty loud.
As for driveability, it's fine - for me. Below 1800 RPM in the higher gears (1, 2, 3, 4), it bucks pretty good. But with 4.56's, it's not hard to find a higher revving gear. It has never stalled out tho. It sounds like its barely running, but it actually runs great with the idle at 850 RPM.
I hope to be back up and in 'drag trim' in December. Gotta put a spool in the car, then we're back in business. I'll try and get some driving around clips then.
