Default Is .010 too tight for rod bearing side clearance?

Just measured rod side clearance on new 418 build...the side rod clearance is approx .008 -.010. ....has anyone run clearance this tight on the rods without any problem? I have no problem pulling the rods back out to file off some more clearance....just want to see what everyone else has done? Thx-Stroker2112

From what I have learned, it kind of depends on your bearing clearance. You should be able to find something if you search. .008" is probably too tight, but .010" may be fine. I've always used a lathe, rather than a file, to gain clearance.
