Default Qeustions on swaping ls6 heads

So im going to be swaping on a set of ls6 heads in the next few days and i was wondering if it was necessary to get a dyno tune before i drive the car? I have a sheduled date for next friday the 7/24 but on ls1howto they said you need to drive the car for a couple hundred miles before beating on it so that is why i ask im obviously not going to beat on it and i will keep the rpms down under 4000 but would be ok on the highway or what is the best kind of driving to break it in. Oh they are brand new ls6 heads and they are going on a 02 ta a4 thanks

It may not drive perfect, but you can drive it just fine. Actually if it's not modded in many other ways you may not notice much just driving it around. Really the only break in a new set of heads needs is a few heat cycles for the valve springs, and double check everything.

By heat cycles you mean starting the car let it warm and then shut it of and let it cool?

Driving it easy for a half hour or so, and letting it cool back down. People have different opinions of a heat cycle, but I prefer a little RPM variance over just letting it sit. Just take it easy on it the first few drives.
