Default Budget Carbed 6.0 Build

were building a budget minded 6.0 Carb motor. Need to some some simple and needed things I can do to the motor why we have it out. So far, we have new cam, springs and pushrods. What do I need to do to the shortblock without spending a fortune. Here are a few areas and please tell me if I missed something

Oil Pump( stock ok?)
Lifters (drilling plastic?)
timing chain (stock ok?)
Blocking off oil cooler (going in a truck)

What kinda power are you going to be making?

A new timing chain is a good idea, and if the motor has more than 50K miles, I would do an oil pump too just for insurance.

What camshaft are you using?

X2

I would get a ported oil pump, ls2 chain, and some new ls7 lifters, new plastic trays and drill them.
