TEA Stg 1.5 heads = 1400
Comp Cam = 350
Gaskets & Misc. = ~100 give or take
That puts you at 1760 rougly. If you can install it yourself, you'll get it done for less than 2K. Do not be afraid to try it yourself. As long as you have some basic mechanical knowledge, and a decent selection of tools you can get it done. There are TONS of write ups on the net with pictures and step by step instructions. No reason to pay someone when you can do it yourself.

i installed my own H/C/I with the help of jmx . you'll save a lot of money and the experience of knowledge you gain from doing it yourself is priceless.
how else do you think most of us give out our advice, its because we've all turned the bolts and done the work
figure in 450+ for a dyno tune as well though and if you dont have the tools that adds up alot too. its all still cheaper then a shop.
you'll also want some LT's and ls6 intake too, it'll help you take advantage of the h/c better. depending on your mileage i'd get a new oil pump and timing chain too. dont forget the added power from your h/c puts more stress on the rest of your steup; i.e rear end and clutch. figure a spec 3 and 12 bolt if you plan any trips to the track.

Get with LS1Speed.com about their Patriot heads package; the valves, pushrods, springs and retainers are included for $1250 incl. shipping. Don't know if the special ran over to November tho.

texas speed has run a sale in the past with pp ls1 heads and all you will need for under 2000k so has absolute speed, then you have a g for the install and tuning. just do a search to see which you like better
