Question I need a good stroker*

Hey Im new to ls1 tech, I recently purchased a 1999 sliver trans am with t-tops, and l truly love the way it drives. I currently looking into stroking the engine and would like to know what would be a good starting area in terms of sroke and of what material. and what would be to much to the point where i would just burn up the tires. And I would also like to know if other mods. would be recomended while i am doing this change. i.e. pistons, rods, rings, maybe cam. Any help would be greatly appreacitied.

A good heads & cam package can easily burn up the tires w/o going into the short block and spending the extra money. What are your performance goals and what tires do you plan to use?
