My 370 build-thoughts, opinions??
I'm planning on building a 370 when I get home next spring from Iraq and I thought I would run it by you guys and get any thoughts or ideas or recommendations. 6.0 .030" over, Wiseco -3.2cc K398X3 flattops-L92 compatible, .041 Cometics, Callies Compstar 6.125 rods, stock crank, L92 heads with LS3 hollow intake valves, 11:1 SCR, Patriot Gold Doubles, L76 intake with Holley 90mm TB, Pat G cam all in front of a T56 with stock 3.42's for now. I'm shooting for 475+rwhp. What do you guys think? Is it possible with these things??

I bought the L92 heads along with all the valves over a year ago, so there is no sense in trying to sell them and spend even more on AFR's or TFS's. I also already have the L76 w/90mmTB, so all I really need is the rotating assembly. I'm still debating on going with a 408, but can't justify the extra $800-1000 for the crank when the 370's I've read about are almost up there in power with the strokers. Then I can save the $1000 towards a 12 bolt that I'm sure I will need next.

I understand that, but am going through a divorce now and don't really have the extra $1000 or so to stick in a stroker. Guess we'll how bad she tries to stick me in court. Thanks for the advice though.

I think you can achieve the 475rwhp with that setup.you are using really good parts, but I dont know about those pacesetters. If you do go 402 you should be close.I got that type of power with a stock bottom and trick flow heads, nice size cam and a fast 92/92,but I also have all bolt ons.So I think you can do it or get damn close to it.I would'nt even try to compare a 370 to a stroker motor at all like the other guy said.Like everbody says horsepower sells cars torque wins races.Torque is exactly what those strokers have.

I put down 495rwhp/445rwtq through a 3" steel drive shaft and moser 9" with my lil 370ci, your goal is certainly attainable. It pushes my 3900lb tank of a car down the track at 120mph in 2700ft DA......with a good driver it'd be low low 11's, with me driving I get pretty consistent mid 11's.

Thanks for all your input guys! I finally coughed up the extra cash for the crank and went with a 408. Compstar crank and rods along with Wiseco pistons. Should get me about 11.4 to 1 CR.
