I can't give you technical numbers, but my speed shop swears by the 987's, and the 918's have had some negative feedback from breakages. See sig for specifics.

The 987s are great springs. TEA runs them on their heads and provides the customer with a 2 yr/24,000 mile warranty when you have those springs installed on their heads. I had them on my C5 with a TR224, never had a problem. One of THE most worry-free springs out there. I had no valve float, etc.

How do you know you have ZERO valve float ? I didn't say it wouldn't shift ; you can shift it where you want !! Are you a mechanic or a tuner ? With that lift, on those springs, you WILL experience some form of valve float!!!! But keep on doing it the way you want too , You can learn alot from a dummy!!!!

The 987s are good up to at LEAST 0.600 lift *assuming their setup to the proper install height, etc*. If you think 918s are better in life span and controlling valvetrain stability then you're a dummy, lol,

I'm not a tuner but am a competent shadetree mechanic (done about 10-12 LS1 H/C installs without a hitch), can read, and know that it's a proven spring based on TONs of tuner's using those springs for the best strength/performance/reliability.

PS, if you're gonna throw those CC 987s in the river, don't. Ship them to me and I'll keep them. I'll send you my address if you need it
