2 GM header gaskets $ 26
2 1999- water pump gaskets $ 14

This became a lot more expensive than anticipated

Are the heads milled any? Might wana check pushrod length when you swap the heads witht the thinner gaskets and if the heads are milled.

That looks like it. You don't have to pull the water pump if you don't want to. Like mentioned above, double check pushrod length when you reassemble to ensure the valvetrain is setup properly.

Thanks, heads aren't milled but will I be fine with the 7.400 pushrods since I would actually need 7.385 pushrods with the .040 gaskets? Also where could I get new gaskets for the LS6 manifold? Thanks.

The spray is for the cometic thin head gaskets since they are known to leak without the spray and without a near perfect block/head surface.

Not at all a dumb question. How would you know unless you ask?

As stated above though, it's a copper sealant. A lot of guys use them with the Cometic gaskets. Just spray both sides, install, torque and you're in business. It almost looks/feels like a copper version of the 3M adhesive spray...

Also as stated though, block surface and head surface need to be about 100% clean/free of debris (old gasket material mainly), and needs to be a flat true surface, otherwise they tend to leak. They will not conform as much as the MLS gaskets will if there are small imperfections on the deck surface, so it's imperative that you have a clean, true surface.

GM part 12551933 - Coolant Seal 4 required. these for the water cross pipe thats between the intake and valley cover.
don't really need to replace the valve cover gaskets unless they are leaking.
probably won't need to replace the exhaust manifold gaskets unless they are leaking as well. Just make sure you let the setup sit for a couple hours then go back and retorque, heat cycle and then retorque head bolts again. Just don't want to see you end up with leaks when all it takes is some time to retorque.

may need a 3M metal finishing pad (brown one) to clean up the deck surface.

And it will be a little cheaper. I think I picked up a EGR gasket from the dealership for like $2.66. Lady at the counter claimed that might be the cheapest thing she ever saw get sold there.
