Default Which head to match Torquer v2

Hey guys. Buddy of mine is going to be dropping an LQ4 in an 80's shortbed chevy truck and was looking into the Torquer v2 with a 3k stall and th400 mated to it and he was wondering about heads.

I told him the TSP Stage 1 243's would be good, but what do you guys think? Let me know!

any head will benefit that cam.

you on a budget?

otherwise i'd say the AFR 205s or the TFS 215s would be a better setup.

Yeah, he's not trying to spend more than around 1100 on the heads. He's got the factory 317s and I told him to contact TSP about possibly having them CNC'ed and milled... Opinions?

Stage 1 243's but have them milled. That heavy truck will benefit from the extra tq. Why would he not go with a smaller duration cam to get that big truck moving...I mean its his build just a thought I would think of if it was my build 224/228R or the new 224/227 is about as big as I'd go in a truck.

i think in the 6L that T2 would make good torque.

my T1 makes nice torque on stock heads in a 346.

My car makes pretty good power with that cam and stock parted heads, the rest of my mods are in sig. However my torque is pretty low so Im looking to get the milled so my CR will be around 11 to 1 or so.

We can definately port is 317s & mill them for him. You could also consider something like the PRC 215 or we're also finishing a PRC 227cc that will still use a smaller chamber. Both options would be best case options with pricing under $2000 a set if you use your existing spring kit!!

PM me a price on milling/porting his 317's and spring kit installed while ya got it, whichever springs are better (PRC from what I've read).

Think the L92's would flow too much for such a heavy vehicle to where he'd lose the low end grunt?
